I only have the studio advanced..so I don't know..but the basic

live 1 is a great 30 minute workout...I like the floorwork at the end,

and as far as I know so far it is the only basic tape that has floor

work.

Start with Basic Live, its a faster pace than studio basic, and a good

bridge to the advanced tapes.

Start with the Basic . They are all great. The basic live tapes are at

a faster pace than the studio one. I really love basic 2! It's a tough one!

Work your way up to the advanced.

depends on your own preferences.

If you want to think and modify less then the Basic

If you like a faster pace and a longer work-out (though you can split them up

or modify them) then the Advanced

Also if you want more floorwork then the Advanced

Barb

who loves both but prefers to do a Basic cuz less thinking but knows the

Advanced offers more for the money

If you have the studio advanced, give it a try and see how you do,

modifying and taking breaks as needed. It might be a challenge, but

try it out. BL1 is like an advanced beginner tape, and it's loads of

fun. AL1 and 2 are hard. I didn't like AL3. AL4 is like a

challenging intermediate tape, and I love it the best. But, I've been

working out a while. If I were you, I'd try Bl1, then work up to Bl1

plus the 8-min.

Thanks , I'll probably do that.

I have a brag. I went running today, and I usually can't run more than a

couple of laps (1/2 mile) without having to walk. Today, I ran a mile (4

laps) not only without stopping, but in 10 minutes!!! I haven't done that

since boot camp!!!!! I felt so great. Then I went on to walk (briskly)

another 1 1/2 miles. I am soooo proud of myself! I know that it is because

of Tae Bo. I have built up my leg muscles and my endurance! Yay !!!!!

Sandy, ROFL....now that sounds like something would say. I'll

leave the strutting up to the rest of you ladies, and keep the peace

with the hubby. ;)

I don't have one of those. Maybe when I get some stuff to strut, and if I

strut it *just* right, I'll get one. <eg>

Thanks .

And to top it all off, I got motivated and did the 8 min workout on top of it

all. I don't know if I am working too hard or not, but I just workout if I

feel like it, and sometimes that is 2 sometimes three times a day. My

roommate says I am pushing too hard, and that if I work out too much, I have

to take in more calories. I am trying.

I will say that I think that I have my obsessive eating more under control

since I joined this group. Thanks everyone.

If any of you are planning a trip to Hawaii in the next 2 1/2 years, let me

Yay !!!!!! (said while standing up with hands in the air and the

theme from Rocky playing) That is such a great accomplishment. When I

first started doing tae-bo, I was running a lot and running was my primary

form of exercise. I started alternating tae-bo and running every day and I

noticed great improvement in my running times and how far I could run. It

was amazing! It sounds like you are seeing similar results. Before you

know it, you'll be running the whole time!

That is such a great brag. You should definitely feel very good about

yourself. I just know you will reach your goals.

You go girl! Your roomate may be right. If you are working out 2 or 3

times a day, you will need to take in more calories, otherwise your

metabolism will slow down and you won't lose weight as quickly. I used to

exercise compulsively and eat next to nothing. Yes, I lost weight. Did I

look good? Absolutely not. Was I miserable? Most definitely. I was so

obsessed with losing weight and weighing as little as possible that I messed

up my metabolism for a long time. It has taken me until now to finally get

my metabolism back on track (so it's been about 8 years). Just try to make

sure that you are eating enough, especially on the days you do double or

triple workouts. You don't want to start exercising compulsively because

that is just as bad as eating compulsively. I can totally relate to your

need and desire to lose your weight and to feel like you have to do it

within a certain time frame, but really there are no quick fixes. The only

way you are going to lose weight and keep it off is to eat healthily and to

exercise in moderation. The key is to finding an eating/exercise plan that

you can live with and that will become a permanent part of your life. It's

hard not to look for the quick fixes, but believe me, I have tried

everything and this is the only thing that has worked for me. I love tae-bo

and what it has done for me both physically and mentally and that's why I

continue to do it.

I've kind of lost my point, but I just wanted you to know that I am thinking

of you and I think you are incredibly strong and driven. You are working

towards your goals one day at a time and it will happen for you!

Yeah !!!!!!!! Keep it up. I'm a sprinter by nature so I have

problems with long distance runs... you know what you might try once in a

while is running the straights and walking the curves on a quarter mile

track. You heart rate will stay higher longer which will make your workout

more effective and you can build up your stamina without torturing yourself.

Or strut it for the hubby and see what happens.... <evil grin>

Even a guy to pay attention to all the stuff that's strutting would be

worthwhile.

I dunno, Sandy. I'm just taking it one step at a time. I'd like to have a

date, first. I'll worry about that husband stuff when there's a potential

husband in the mix.

four-year dry spell right beforehand that I just don't want to think about)

It's important to eat right and pace yourself. Daily multiple

workouts, combined with not eating enough, can make one more vulnerable

to injury. Be really conscious of what your body tells you both during

and between workouts and adjust accordingly.
