Guest guest
Hi, Everyone....Liz....DON'T start feeling guilty about 'drugging' Tori. You are not drugging her....she is not walking around like a Zombie in a total haze, completely oblivious to life , and totally dependent on teachers and aides? She's not like the characters in 'One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest' is she? Thank God that the Ritalin slowed her down enough so that everyone can start connecting with her. Jayne.....so glad you made it safely. With all the moves we have had over the years, the one thing I can say, is that I have never had to move by myself on the moving day. I have had to do everything up to that day, but DH was always around for the driving or flying to the new area. My heart goes out to you 'cuz I know how it is. As for the bussing issues.....pick your battles. Sounds like the school is a good one and trying very hard to make a decent education for all kids. I know in the past, Gareth has road spec. ed busses and has been on reg ed busses. These days, he gets to school 35 min. BEFORE school starts and his aide does homework, etc. with him. He also leaves 25-30 minutes before the other kids do. I don't make an issue out of it. G's school is two minutes down the road, and I could have offered to take him every day, but I have done that in the past and it is not fun, either. What I would fight for is if my child was on a very long bus trip and they were not making attempts to rectify it. Just my two cents worth. Take care, Everyone.
