She won't even stay in a room with a box of bandaids and God forbid anyone s Trisha does not like bandaids or stickers either although she will let you put them on for a second. Now with creams she is ok. I was amazed when her knee was injured a few months ago that she let me put an ace bandage on it but it must have hurt enough and the ace bandage must have helped to the point she tolerated it for the first day along with letting me apply ice to the knee that first day but not the next. She has caught her fingers in the car door a couple of times and I just brought her in and put her fingers in a bowl of ice water and of course you gotta kiss the boo boo. :-) She is a little better with stickers now than she was but she still won't leave them on any length of time. Sometimes she says no so we don't but other times she will hold her arm out, we put the sticker on and turn our backs and bam off they come. lol Even when she was 8 months old and had her eye surgery she kept pulling the bandage off. She doesn't like anything on her head or body and she only tolerates clothing. We are working on getting her to tolerate headphones and while we've made a little progress we haven't made enough for her to leave them on. She won't wear a bracelet or necklace or hat or ear muffs. I guess we should be thankful she has started keeping her clothes on. :-) Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha!

You paint it on like nailpolish but it is colorless we have the brand called new skin and I have used it and it burns plus it smells horrible and Trisha won't even let me get close to her with it. :-( If there is a brand that doesn't burn or smell horrible I'd be interested in trying it. Guest guest
There are a few brands of liquid bandaids on the market. You paint it on like nailpolish but it is colorless. That at least keeps the dirt out. Elie would rather DIE than have a bandage or dressing on. Guest guest
<< I guess we should be thankful she has started keeping her clothes on. :-) >> LOL yeah Carol when you look at it that way who cares about bandaids! is keeping her clothes on now finally. I fell the other day on one of the magazine piles likes to spread out in a trail on the carpet and I sprained my wrist so I wrapped it in an ace bandage. She went nuts trying to get that thing off MY wrist. Last week I had broken out with some type of oldage acne and had a pimple near my nose...she went bananas trying to scratch it off. I know she's trying to kill me but I just pretend it isn't happening LOL. The poor kid is really having trouble now though as she is trying to pull her boobs off her body. Guess I should be glad she's not a 17 yo teenager asking for breast implants. Oh boy. Sherry

Guest guest
I don;t know - but the amount is so small, I can't imagine it hurting anymore than eating nailpolish off nails!! (I am proof THAT won't kill you. I will check out the stores near me for odor and burn next time I am allowed in town!!!! Every time we get blood drawn, I laugh when the nurse INSISTS on putting on the band-aid. I always tell them, " Have at it, but it won't last more than 1 second!!!! " ....LOL Amazingly, Maddie NEVER gets boo boos. She might get a small scratch or something, but she's really very cautious (Yes, CAUTIOUSLY running in the street, or teetering on roof tops). Now back in the day when she head-banged and somersaulted, we have black and blue everything, but no open cuts. Donna
