Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 You and Trisha are in our prayers. Sounds like some bug going around. Hope she feels better soon. Louise Trisha unexplained rash and now sick Friday when we picked Trisha up from school she was fine, it was a nice day so I had the widow rolled down and Trisha was sitting in the back sit just loving the wind on her face and waving to me through the side mirror and having a ball. As I looked through the mirror I noticed something didn't look right so I turned around and sure enough her whole face looked like she had measles. No rash anywhere else though. We thought it might have been from the wind and went on to eat and shop. She kept the rash on her face through yesterday but it gradually faded with only a few spots left now. Then early last night she started throwing up and that continued about every 15 minutes or so with a few bouts of the runs to make things more interesting and now she is having the dry heaves. She keeps asking for water but she can't hold it down and she doesn't like the ice chips. I have no idea if the rash has anything to do with the throwing up or if it's just coincidental. All I can say for sure is that she is a very miserable little girl and I hope and pray that she gets through this really fast. We went through all the bed clothes for both her bed and mine and all but a couple of towels so laundry will top on my agenda today but I don't think my home will ever smell clean again. You know she doesn't feel well when she is just sitting on the floor not rocking, not watching her movie or not listening to her music. She just sits and moans. Now that is a site that just makes my heart hurt. Prayers would be very appreciated. Carol Trishasmom She isn't Typical, She's Trisha! -- No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 One of my children get a rash and throws up when they have strep(they don't necessarily have a sore throat) Don't know if this is a possibility?? Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 Oh I'm sorry that Trisha is miserable - how awful. Did she seem like her normal self when you picked her up and no rash at all? Then it just appeared that quick? Strange. I can't imagine what that was about? If she had a sore throat, etcc. she could have possible developed scarlet fever but that typically presents itself on the trunk of the body. Just the face, hmmm. Could have been an allergy driven reaction - the allergens are just so awful right now. With the window's down and it blowing on her... There's a boy in my daughters class that gets hives on his face everytime they go outside for recess! I know my skin flares big time from the allergies. The throwing up could just be coincidental, a bug, but then again it could all be related. So that brings us full circle back to " I don't know " . Sorry I'm of no help Carol! LOL! Give her a hug from and I and tell her to hang in there. I hope she gets better soon. And Happy Laundering to you!! Febreeze anyone??? Take care, Jayne Csvillars@... wrote: Friday when we picked Trisha up from school she was fine, it was a nice day so I had the widow rolled down and Trisha was sitting in the back sit just loving the wind on her face and waving to me through the side mirror and having a ball. Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 how old is trisha? she is a teen right, did she get her second mmr? might want to watch for mumps, as vomiting and sore throat can be a symptom of that too, but as i dont remember where you live ---not in iowa where its an epidemic practically right now-- and i dont recall a rash beinga symptom of mumps, shawna --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 Thanks everyone, Trisha doesn't have a fever and she doesn't appear to have a sore throat. Her checks are flushed and she still can't keep solid food down (she snuck some bread while I wasn't looking) and it came right back up. She is finally able to keep about an ounce of liquid down just not a lot of it nor any solids. She has stopped moaning and she wants to eat but she just can't. She keeps asking for chicken nuggets and she just doesn't understand that her stomach just isn't ready for food yet. But she was able to tell me her stomach hurt so at least we are making a little progress in that area. You know, I don't think a skunk could smell any worse than my house and I have cleaned and cleaned and it still smells bad. I think the next place I live is going to have all tile walls, floors and anything else I can tile so I can just take the hose and some bleach and scrub it clean. lol Is it possible to have that smell permanently etched into your nose? Yuck! At least she isn't throwing up every 15 mins any more that is a big improvement. Carol Trishasmom She isn't Typical, She's Trisha! Quote

Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 Carol, I am soo sorry to here Trisha is sick. I feel sorry for her because she really cannot tell you what's wrong and that is miserable and I feel sorry for you cleaning up the messess.I feel like my home nevers smells or looks clean so do not worry about your home. All of us with children like ours know what life is like.Strep sometimes does thinks like that even if they do not have a sore throat. My daugter has had that. Also slapped cheek or another name Fifths Disease. Slapped cheek they really do nothing for but if it is strep she will need an anitbiotic.Life is strange you can go to bed feeling fine and wake up sick as a dog. My prayers are with you.
