Donna>> Hi, Everyone....Donna......why....because of them finding the 'A' gene on the 21 chromosome?......or something to that effect? << " suggests that the response of the auditory cortex to sound intensity stimulus may be regulated by the serotonergic tone and that decreased serotonergic neurotransmission may provoke a different behavior of sensory cortices, " .......... " because brain serotonin is known to play an important role in the pathophysiology of various neuropsychiatric disorders that are commonly present in patients with type 1 diabetes like anxiety and depression. " >> Becky....I apologize for not remembering who had the child with diabetes, but I thought it was interesting myself. Perhaps Dylan's sensory issues aren't from autism but from the diabetes. Who knows, with the DS thrown in there, anything is possible with our kids!!! Perhaps an SSRI will help matters. Leah....so glad to hear from you and that you have some help. Can you make it to the picnic this summer? See messages #56892, 56645, and 56694. Take care, Everyone. Margaret Quote
