Glad to hear things are ok CK. Hope you have a safe trip and a wonderful

visit/party with Ian and family.

Gail :-)

Thank you all for your kind words and support. Ian is doing much better

now. And as I said, we'll be going to see him a week from now.

To answer some of your questions....

Pathfinder Village is a three-hour (180 miles door to door) drive from our

house. If it had been closer, I would have been there asap, but with the

three hours, it didn't seem a logical thing to do. Had he been admitted, I

would

have gone -- no doubt about that. I just had to wait (that's the hard part)

until I heard one way or the other.

His actual birthday is the 3rd, Friday, and so we'll be with him in the late

afternoon, and will take him out for a celebratory dinner. A friend of the

family (the kids call him " uncle " ) is coming to join us Friday night, and

then we'll all spend the weekend together. On Sunday, we're having a party, as

we usually do -- simple thing, just an hour, with cake and ice cream and

juice. Ian loves it; we've been doing it each year since he started there.

Ian's grandparents and another uncle (a blood uncle) will be joining us on

Sunday.

The doctors are going to follow up on the hospital visit -- with tests

and/or medication to treat possible gerd. We just want to make sure his heart

is

okay -- about two years ago, he was having irregular heartbeats when he

exercised, and they checked him out then too, and he was fine, and the problem

went away on its own.

CK,

Mom to Ian (2/89),

(9/90),

and Rose (6/94)
