Guest guest
Hi Gail, For it was, it was more than the normal usual male issues and I could tell it was bothering him and he had the look, which was not him. Of course its hard when they can not speak and you have to figure out whats going on. I of course did not know how to explain to him that all this was part of the changes. His doc kept wanting to up the Melatonin but he was not the same, he was probably around 11 y/o, so you can imagine I figure it was also due to the Pull-ups and his hormone changes were just on target. None of us still did not get any sleep so why continue on taking them, then we went the med (Trazadone)route and once again the same issues had occured as he had calmed down when he was off the Melatonin. His doc once again wanted to up the (Trazadone)meds as once again , no sleep and this is when I finally had asked the pharmacist if the Melatonin and his meds back then of Trazadone gave like the Viagra effects? He had shown me the articles of the ingredients and sure enough this was part of what was going on and there were other discussions of other issues related to it, since that lesson given he is back to his regular normal male ways and off all sleep aids. I was so scared to see what was going through. I even had some help from someone's assistant from this list on explaining what was going on, then I put two and two together. I wish I could contact the pharmacist for the articles, but he is no longer around as he had his own small business next door to 's P-doc and it has shut down due to two major large Pharmacy opening not too far from his business. I would keep a journal of any meds or alternative therapy and jot down any changes. Take care, Irma,16,DS/ASD > Was this due to the melatonin? Oh, we have terrible problems in that area > with Seth. I contributed it to his wearing diapers. I don't give him melatonin that often. Hmm, I'll have to keep a journal on this one! Thanks for the warning Irma. > Gail :-) > > >
