Sara, thanks for the thought/info. 's medical doctors -- primary

physician and a DS specialist never talked about using Lamisil.

has had fungal toenails for years but his primary physician never wanted

to give him the oral med for this because of the side effects and cost.

We have always used Clotrimazole Cream (Lotrimin)which only partially

helps. I haven't talked to the doctor about this for some time so maybe

it is time to bring it up again next time sees the doctor. Louise

dry skin foot cracks

We treated Elie for one month with Lamisil ORAL tablets. DSoc said that

the

cracks were another form of athlete foot

9i as a nurse had never seen any but the foot rash kind) Sure enough,

cleared up never to return. We do alot of lotioning of feet, legs,

hands,

arms, much to Elie's disgust, but dry skin is as unhealthy as super oily

skin.

Sara - Choose to make lemonade, not complain about the lemons.

We had no side effects which are common with older oral meds for fungus. We

also changed peds in a move which is how we got the trx that worked after

years of being told it was " dry skin " , use lotion. The doc wrote a letter

of medical necessity to get the med paid by medicaide.

Been three years with no recurrance. His toenails still have grooves.

Interesting I will add this to the info. I was looking online and saw

the cost of Lamisil $755 for 90 day supply - recommended treatment was

one a day for 12 weeks. But in Canada a generic was available for half

the price. Thanks, Louise
