Guest guest
I was really happy to see Lenny say that his patience is wearing thin with all the pot shots at eachother (and our respective candidates). This group has gone a little bonkers. Face it - this is all politics and who among us trusts that of all things? We may WANT to but all of us know better. I personally love my candidate but I could be totally wrong. And I know it. Obama could be a closet Muslim ready to take down the USA. McCain could have become BFF with his captors. Biden could be a bad dad for taking office after his wife and daughter died and his boys were in the hospital. Palin could be the secret grandmother to her daughter's DS love child. It's all ridiculous. I will be so glad when this election is over - I would hope that we can get back to our purpose before then. You know - the one where we're trying to get the world to listen and inform eachother about what our kids (and ourselves) are going through and how all the push is out there to refute it? How we are individually trying to educate future victim's parents? For me, I'd happily slip into a coma until November if I felt anyone would handle the biomed stuff for my sons for me. Fact is - we will not know what any of the candidates will do to help our cause until we can see results. So please, lets stop cutting eachother down. Regardless of our viewpoint on politics, religion etc - we're all in the same boat and we all want our kids to get better. Once the cure is found I will joyously join in on the politicking and bashing. It used to be my favorite pasttime before my sons were hurt. But for now, it makes me feel even more alone when I see the nastiness we can dish out to eachother. I get enough of that from the rest of the world that calls me crazy for questioning what the good docs recommend. Peace - and I'm no hippy.
