Guest guest Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Hi everyone, I saw my internist yesterday because of antibiotic-related problems—Candida here, there, and everywhere. He asked if I was taking the amoxicillin for my lungs and how long it was prescribed for. His reaction to my answers was “SIX WEEKS!!!!!” I told him that it was because of a weird bacteria (I’m still fighting the Haemophilus Para influenza that was cultured before Christmas). He looked in my chart and said “that is a weird bacteria” and didn’t say anything else about the six-week course of amoxicillin. He wrote out a prescription, was worried that I would have problems while he was out of the office next week, and told me who to call. Bronch really is a pain in the neck (or more specifically the chest) but at least there is an occasional laugh with it. Too bad that no one else understands the joke. Barb Quote
