Hi everyone,

I thought I would write with my current dilema in trying to decide what to do

next.

I have FMS and have a whole lot of pain daily. I was not willing to accept the

idea that I will have to live with FMS the rest of my life and all I can do is

learn to cope with it, so I have been searching for ideas to get me better. I

have discovered a huge body of ideas, research, testimonials, all of which seem

to be valid, or at least for some people.

The first thing I did was switch my thyroid meds over to armour, which has

helped me a lot. Some FMS-ers who did that had complete resolution and no pain

when trigger points were pressed, and even had all their sleep issues go away

too (apnea and restless legs). While it has helped me a lot, it has not helped

me to that degree. I have also improved my diet, have little refined sugar in

my diet, only complex carbs which I have also reduced overall in my diet, and

only eat organic. Those changes helped me a lot too. I also take magnesium,

and iron (my ferritin was low) and 5HTP. I need tramadol every night and

fruently in the day to get through it.

Now I want to know what to do next. Here are my options below. Do you have any

comments? other ideas?

1) Adrenals support which can be related to thyroid issues, but I am confused on

how to handle this

2) Adding progesterone to my daily meds (already Ok-ed by my Obgyn and I have an

rx in hand)

3) Going in for bio feed back training

4) Trying yeast cleansing and the yeast free diet

5) Doing the antiobiotic protocol as described in The New Arthritis

Breakthrough-- This Dr claims he has successfully treated his FMS patients

using this very interesting and logical approach. I have already seen a Dr and

have rx-es in hand.

6) Doing the guinfensin protocol, which seems to be very popular right now, but

I question the science of it,

7) Doing various organ and lymph cleanses.

8) I could also get back and aggressive about excersice which I quit out of

frustration. I was not dropping a single pound despite my vigorous excersice

AND good diet, and I would feel completely wiped out after excersicing ( I have

two young children I care for). Also, I sprained my ankle, which is refusing to

heal and it has been over 2 months. I am beginning to think it will always

hurt, sigh.

Thanks again for your input, I lok forward to hearing what you all suggest.
