Guest guest
Hi . I'm just joining the group and have waited 3 months as a "pending member." After reading your post I really felt I needed to reply to you. I feel you are the first M.O.M. ( mother of multiples) I've come across who has twins closest in age to "my girls". Cassandra and na are identical ds twins - 15 months today. In other DS groups I feel the same way as you do about posting when the girls are so healthy and happy. It boggles my brain with how many types of surgeries, medical conditions and health concerns some families are encountering. However as a "lurker" , I'm being educated and feel comfortable offering support or encouragement whenever I can. As a mom with younger children I also feel I'm gaining so much from the families who have already been through that phase, test, debate, situation, ....... and so on. Anyways, I wanted to make the contact with you before you were removed from the list (if that's what you still decide to do ) because I would really like to correspond with you. I've finally found you and don't want to lose you. That sure sounds sappy doesn't it ! # : ] So feel free to email me personally if you would like to. The messages don't need to be long or frequent. Hope to hear from you. Janice- mom to na and Cassandra identical ds - 15 months PS: Health concerns: They may be kissed or squeezed to death. Re: Digest Number 1509- Rules. My Name is , I am the mother of n 10 Olivia and Chloe (Ds), 16 month old twins. I read the rules tonight, and I felt I needed to say this. I found this group and counted my blessings. As a new mother i didn't know where to turn, I found that I could read how others handle life with their multiples and to be honest I found a lot of useful info about Ds and dealing with unique issues we face daily. One of the true blessings of the group was not having to put myself out there emotionally when I was not ready too. I feel like that option has been taken from me now and I will be forced to post every two months. I know the point has been made that it only need to be "Hi, were all OK here....yada yada yada" However then we have a bunch a useless emails clogging up the works. I say useless because if we are lurkers because we are shy or perhaps not emotionally ready to join you then you are forcing us out of our cocoon of comfort. I have been ashamed to post to this group. My youngest, Chloe has Ds. I am not ashamed in the way you might be thinking. My Beautiful Daughter Chloe is blessed with perfect health, she is also ahead of most "Normal" children in development let alone children with Ds. I was ashamed to post because she IS so healthy. I know many times I have been ready to write to you all, share our lives with you when I would read that someone was not as fortunate as I have been. I have guilt when I think I was about to brag. I know this might not make sense to some of you, and I might have ticked some of you off. I didn't mean to, I am just trying to explain. Thank you all for the support and the info I have gleaned from you as a lurker, but as a lurker I feel these new rules will "out" me. I am being forced to either join in your reindeer games or leave. I have to choose to leave. If someone would be kind enough to remove me from this list, or kindly email me to tell me how to do it myself. Thank you for your time. , Proud Mother of 3.
