Hi --June you may never need a bronchoscopy--i have had heaps of them in the past--if you have adequate sedation which i did i knew nothing about it woke up and went home 30mins later--a breeze--the only time i had a problem was when i had bronchograms which left my lungs full of that contrast stuff they use--coughed my head off for days--they dont tend to do bronchograms these days since the invention of high resolution CT scans--it must be nice to be feeling better--keep it up--cheers Del

This is what happened when I had my last bronchoscopy when I was 17.

The doctor essentially vacuumed out my lungs, and I was infection-free

for a few years!! :)

That true--they wash your lungs with saline then suck it back out and all

the junk comes out with it--like getting the carpets shampooed---Del

It actually did not hurt, they did it to me, after giving total anesthesia, I never felt a thing. It wasn't a rinse though, it was a cut !P & DA Thistleton wrote:
