Guest guest
I was only 2 years into my disease when I got pregnant with my youngest (she’s 14 now). My doctor (naturopath actually) said I’d either get better or I’d get worse, thank goodness I got better. Not cured – just better than I was. The body is an amazing thing; it’s able to rise to the occasion to heal itself enough to get through something as important as its prime directive which is to procreate. Something for the headaches, try drinking something with electrolytes in it like Gatorade or Smart Water. I’ve discovered an electrolyte imbalance (and not enough liquids) can usually trigger most of my headaches. It doesn’t hurt to try it and see if it works. As to the all day morning sickness – been there, done that. Hated it. The only thing I can think of is some organic ginger tea. What I did was purchase some organic ginger and freeze it, makes it easier to grate and it won’t shrivel and go bad before you use it up, and then boil up some water and put the grated ginger (1tsp to 1Tbs) in the bottom of a cup, pour the water over it and let seep for at least 5 mins before straining and drinking. I used to keep a couple of crackers on my bedside table with a glass of cool ginger water just incase. And yes, I woke up at all hours just to dry heave. Horrible. After the first trimester was over it slowed and finally stopped and I started enjoying the next few months. And to deal with the sore nipples before you start breast-feeding put a couple of tea bags (cheap ones) in a little bit of hot water to get them soaking, then lay over the nipples as a poultice. Start doing this about a week before you are due. What this does is take natural tannic acid and toughen up the skin, yes it’s the same stuff that people use to tan hides but in a natural form. I sat there on the third day of nursing with tears streaming down my face it hurt so much. My midwife told me about the teabags and it started working on that first day, what a relief!! I wish more women knew about this trick. Good luck!!! Vicky in WA (diag in 1990 CFS & FMS) " www.littlerascalsfarm.com " No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
