Gavin does this as well, and it seemed to also start at the age of 4. We tried different things including the weighted blanket and nothing seemed to help. He's even on Risperdal, but still would wake up if someone wasn't there with him. I'm embarrassed to say, but we just allowed it to continue. There was just too many other things on our plate, eating issues, some medical and the big one ..... behavior. We just needed sleep and if it meant him sleeping with one of us, well than that's what we did. To this day, Gavin needs to sleep with someone at night. But he will now sleep in his own bed by himself during the day if he takes a nap. We'll take that small step at this time!! We are going to be addressing it more now that things are quieting down, and hope Melatonin will help. Good luck and let me know if you find something that works!! Guest guest
Hi, Traci: Well, I purchased a CD with the ocean sounds on it-since she falls asleep in her moon bounce which is quite loud.and she slept all night last night. A fluke, maybe-but hey we'll try anything. Good Luck to you guys and we'll keep you posted on our progress.
