Where do you live Donna that the roads are so dangerous? Living in the

country with horses would be a dream for my husband who is an Iowa farm

boy at heart. When we were younger we had thought of moving to a farm,

later maybe building a house on it for , then that never happened as

we were busy with all six kids and their activities. Lately we have

considered one of those Senior developments with a ranch as the stairs

are beginning to get to me. Then I think, no the stairs are good

exercise. Problem is the developments are farther from our kids and

grandkids. Good luck with all the decisions you have to make with this

new phase in Montyman's life. Louise Mom to 41 etc. (IL)

Hi Louise,

We live in South Louisiana, just north of Lake Pontchartrain, the roads are

narrow, zig-zag roads that have no speed zone, or rather most people THINK they

have no speed limits. I love living here, we have fifty acres, and I put a camp

ground in for my sis, a full time RV-er, put in two hook-ups, it's all open and

Montyman has a golf cart that we zip around on....we, too, had six kids, oh,

wait, no, only five. LOL~~!! We raised them in town, Montyman is the caboose,

so we moved out here after the others had flown the coop. We have one set of

grand kids living here, one set 25 miles north, and one set 25 miles south!

LOL! They all love comming to the farm, so life is grand! But can I relate to

you and the stairs! With me, I am thinking a Condo is beginning to look good,

as I cant keep up with all the mowing and bush hogging!!! It scares me to think

of where we will be in 10 years! I guess thats why I want to keep Montyman with

me as long as I am capable. Even if he doesnt want me there! LOL!!

Donna, Montyman's Mom
