Hi DeeDee,

What wonderful memories to cherish. Glad all went well. Also glad

that you're back safe and had a wonderful time with the entire

family and especially to hear about being himself (wonderful).

Oh my! This is great how let the characters near him. Ooh! My

son will throw a fit when any character would get near him.

You know that response y'all gave each other this is exactly that

y'all should always remember

" deserved this benefit & all the special attention he got

after all he has been thru! ( and frankly, so did we!) DeDee &

"

Amen to that. Hugs! On this. Just awesome to read some good news.

Thanks!

Thank you so much Irma for your kind reply!

There was a time when we would not have even considered taking jesse to a theme

park - as one visit to Six Flags was a MAJOR anxiety fit that lasted for over an

hour! My sister had to come pick him up & take him home with her so we could

continue our day. So he has come a long ways! And yeah, to see him interact with

the characters instead of lunging away from them in a panic ( again, previous

behavior,) it was pure joy for me! I have THE cutest pic of him w/ Mickey

Mouse!

There was only one time he had an anxiety fit in the entire 5 days there. We

were at the Living Seas exhibit - it is the worlds largest aquarium basically.

loves watching fish in aquariums, no matter where we are! And he was

loving this walking around looking thru these huge windows into the fishes

domain. We were checking out these really cool stingrays when out of no where

this diver in a wet suit & tank appears. freaked! Threw himself to the

floor, backing away, & screaming! It was awful! I was trying to calm him & I

was yelling for his dad, who was farther down the room, who jumped a rail & came

running! We must have been quite a site! It only lasted maybe a minute or two ,

but it seemed like slow motion & an eternity! I could have used a stiff drink

after that! I guess he didn't really know what that diver was, I don't know what

went thru his mind. Otherwise, I was even impressed with how well he did with

it all! Would love to go back sometime!

regarding the hiccups, I give a dose of Mylanta & that often helps. I

didn't know that about the coke either, but would not be a good nite time choice

due to caffeine.

I hope you & that other mom from church make contact again, sounds like ya'll

have alot to talk about!

take care, DeDee & 12 yr soon to be 13!

Your Welcome DeeDee,

I can so relate on your previous days. I've purchased season passes for Six

Flags in the past and have thrown them away as I was not ready to deal an

exhausting day. Whenever I take him now to Six Flags it'll only be for a short

day and start early. He is coming along great but the other issues are the male

hormones when he sees a girl in short shorts, he is determine to follow her and

this is when he acts up now as I'm trying to stop him. This is another area that

I have to work around when he wants to be close to a girl.

Glad it was only one anxiety fit and everything had calmed down. Poor ,

this was an unexpected scenery for him. Do you own an aquarium for him?

Thanks for suggesting the Mylanta. I normally do not give soda due to the

sugar that I will not allow him to have as I know he will not sleep at all. Its

nice to know though for an emergency and I would probably just allow a couple of

ounces of it.

Soon to be 13, when?

Where in the DFW area are you at?

Hugs!

Hi Irma, we used to have an aquarium for but he kept putting toys into

the water so we had to get rid of it. that was when he was much younger tho,

maybe we could try again sometime. his birthday is April 10. gonna have a big

party for him , as he has not had one in many years. We usually celebrate small

to avoid anxities. But I think he can handle it this year. Will mostly be

family anyway, & a few friends.

We live 45 min. n.w. of Ft. Worth. what part of Tx do ya'll live?
