Guest guest
Hi Pam, I met 's 3rd grade teacher years ago. The first documentary was in her classroom. Zeb was only two at the time. I think that's what sparked my passion in inclusive education. I was very disappointed for after watching Graduating the last documentary. I thought his jr & high school program was awful. I wil work toward that not happening to Zeb. What was your thoughts? Charlyne Mom to Zeb 11 DS/OCD
Guest guest
I am so happy to hear someone else say they didn't like those documentaries. It was painful for me to watch. I decided to turn the shows around in my head and take from it where I didn't want to go... For example - we will be having a " Barney " video burning party soon!!! I was so sad to see still watching those as he grew way too old to be watching them. The lunch room scene made me cry - there is so much they could have done to make it a positive experience... There were many other scenes, but I choose to try to forget them and move on. Joanne Mom to , (13), ((9 1/2, ds-asd-das) & (7) Re: Oprah show Pam Hi Pam, I met 's 3rd grade teacher years ago. Hi Pam, In jr and high school was given a life skills program with little to no academics. He had no circle of friends, ate lunch alone and was given various jobs around the school, doing gym laundry. He was a lost soul. It was so depressing.
