Guest guest
Hi Laurie, I'm resending you this post that I had sent to you privately, but I'm guessing that you are going directly into the Yahoo group. Anyways just thought something might be helpful, anything at this point. This doc is an Angel assisting with information, so prayers that she will come through with some answers for you. Take care. RE: Hi Laurie, Prayers to your family. I just hate that on repeating the same thing over and over and no one can figure things out. Lots of test are run and our kids are still not doing well. Times like this are very stressful and it hurts to see our kids going through this. Glad you put your foot down and made sure that Mic will be looked at and prayers that an answer will be found so that things could calm down and your little one gets back to health. JMcCandless@... Contact this doctor she is the author of Starving Brains............I forgotten the rest of the title but she is good. Excuse yourself for emailing her as you are desperate for answers and that your son has been admitted to the hospital and that you would like to know if there are any particular test that should be done while he is there as he has been through alot and it just seems that no one has found answers. Fill her in on a brief history of what Mic has been going through. I'll look forward on hearing anything from you, ok? Her and many of her friends are very knowledgeable on these type of medical issues. Please take care of yourself as I know this is one of those rough bumpy rollercoaster ride you are going through and you need all your strength to be by his side. Many hugs! Guest guest
A few tips to prevent those worthless trips- get copies of those medical records. Put them in a three ring, zip shut binder by topic (GI issues, heart, etc, ) anytime tests are done ask for a copy. When he is discharged from the hosp put the summary in there. I also make a note myself for each appt we go on so I can refer back. Anytime the dr. office calls with test results I jot a note in this record. Any pre-op physical, get a copy so if the orig. doesn't get to the surgeon on time you have it. It saves so much time. I remember getting to the down syndrome clinic 2 hours away and they couldn't find any of the records that had been sent. No big deal- I loaned them my binder. Good luck, Karyn

Thanks I know. It's so disheartening to open mail sometimes. AOL (9.0 version) has a report and block spam button that gets used A LOT in my house. Still, we're inundated!!!
