Guest guest
Sandy. I am lost for words, all I can say is OH MY GOD!!!!!sandy taylor wrote: and June , well and all, the snake thing---Well one of the old chaps I,m caring for, I have to drive his ute, to take him places as we are a 1 car family myself. He has several old tyres in the garage, and up the back has 3 sheds full of junk, i asked why he was keeping the tyres, he said they had sentimental values and were too good to put in the shed, they are both thread bare, really can string one.Any way he said he had another few in the back of his covered ute.Well, I,m clearing out, trying to make more space for more JUNK ( keepsakes). I started to roll one tyre, and something kept trailing, I kept kicking it in so no to trip over, when i got it to where I was putting it, I bent down to put it all back in one piece, and yep you guessed it, it was a not quite dead tiger snake.Well everyone in the area could hear my scream, the old chap didn,t he,s almost deaf, but he must have noticed me jump through the air, marvelous what you can do when you are about to be bitten by a snake, he called , what the hell you doing girl, and I kept telling him and he kept getting it all wrong, well then he said, may as well get the rest, so off I went, one had 100,s of red back spiders and a web, I had webs all through my face and hair, kept moving them, till the last one, and it was rock heavy. couldn,t understand it, I could hardly move it let alone roll it. guess what was in it, all this muck, which I started to scrape out, but first there was a parcel, and remember I had the old chap supervising, well he prodded me to open the parccel, it was a large bottle of whiskey, he had hidden away from carers years ago, and his comment was, wonder how that got there, ( docket still there, 1998), it must have been the one I thought so and so stole., mnow to the muck, I started to scrape , but not quick enough, so gave it a BIG kick, then scrape again, yep twas a dead, very dead snake, and a blue tongue lizard skin, they must have met and frightened one or the other , one to death and one out of its skin, the muck was all the dead flesh, skin, and some of the Scotch, as it had begun to rot round the lid.Now I,m too scared to go into his laundry, as the garage is part of, and well for the shed, I bang and kick and hit things all around me, even before I enter.I have had angina for 2 weeks now, hadn,t had an attack for a couple of years, I think the old chaps will out live me at the rate things are going, I even had to go and use his oxygen, I was in such bad shape. He told everyone how wonderful I am, then added , but she has no respect for aged. I could have choked , but then he added oh shes Ok with people, and shes got at least another 3 months, getting things moved and packed, wait till she starts in the bungalow,, well I,m hiring some church mob to do that, I want to live a few more years, goodness only knows whats in there, as its all locked up, closed curtains, he can,t find the keys, thank god, I just hope I don,t find a body or something. He has a fetish for reptiles. lots of cured leather he had done when younger. He says, he has a life time of memoirs in there.I wonder who will live longest. He says he has no idea where 1/2 his stuff is, must be in there is his excuse for all things he cannot find.So snakes alive, do the five, there will be lots more to tell if I should live to get through it all.Shovel, close by, pestacide spray and plenty of gloves and masks, wouldn,t dare want to light a match either, as he has 9 gas bottles, all sizes and all look damn dangerous, I took a torch out, but no battery, then a tilley lamp, no matches, but now I think that was a blessing in disguise. There is never a dull moment really, he had 2 pairs of ladies stockings in his beenie, that I got down for him yesterday, his wife has been dead 9 years.I will keep you up to date, when I get to the oven, he says its been 9 years since the 2nd kitchen had been used.Sandy Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Guest guest
I agree, Lee. But my first thoughts were, “why the hell is she doing all this work? And she’s not getting paid!” Sandy, you really need to stop putting yourself through this rubbish. This is a job for a man, a strong man. I wouldn’t do what you’re doing, and I don’t have all the medical problems you’ve got. Lecture over! Guest guest
Glad to hear it Sandy. I was getting a bit worried. There’s a bug going around Melbourne that includes nausea and dizziness, so be careful you aren’t getting that. I am taking many more breaks, and getting others to give me a hand more than I have ever done before, I PROMISE. I,m off to a hot pad for an hour before I go and pick the oldies up, take them home, and get their meals, meds etc. My asthma has given me hell for 3 days home( 2 really). Its getting cold here now, and the doc says all the R/A, asthma ,pain , bp etc is all coming in bursts together. its hell at the moment. I also have bad vertigo at the present, comes with the R/A, feel nauseus all the time and dizzy. So have to take every thing at my own pace at the moment. Keep well, I,m using everything natural known to man at the moment, and except for the pain, its working. Off to some heat for 20 minutes. Guest guest
I hope not too, as we have all the southerners coming here now to get to warmer climate, also Hervey Bay is the back packer capitol of Australia, and they bring loads of illness too. I keep away from the big supermarkets etc when they are here, just shop in small shops, and if I MUST go to coles or woolies its either late or early, not middle of the day, same as my doc, I go there 1st one after his lunch, and I,m in and out without being around ill people as much as possible. Hugs. Sandy
