Guest guest
Hi all, Just to let you all know that my surgeon, my partner and I have made a decision to have surgery on my tethered cord. I go into hospital on Tuesday and the surgery is Wed morning. I am feeling confident that all will go well!!!! I am not worried about the surgery itself but more about how I may feel when I wake up. I am told the surgery will take about 2 hours. The surgeon says this is quite an uncomplicated procedure considering I only have a thickened filum!!! I am still worried about the pain and how long recovery will take. I am a primary school teacher and have to take the rest of the school year off. I am told it will take 1 month to be 80% fit, 2 month 90% fit and 3 month 100% fit!!!! Can anyone tell me about their experiences. Thanks
