It is true that the procedure is pretty simple...I have them frequently and

actually look forward to the nice nap :).

I will definitely pray for your courage and peace!

Oh precious Courage,

It all sounds scary, but dear you can rest your fear. They will give you a

medication, and you will relax and drowse off to sleep. It is all over in a

few minutes. You will be moved to a bed until you wake up, (only minutes) There

will be no pain, and you can request that the doctor give you pictures of

what he saw, if you want to see for yourself.

I have had three colonoscopies, and for the last one I requested that I

remain awake. I did feel the pressure of air a couple of times, but I breathed

deep for a couple of seconds. Toward the end he could go no further, so I had

to have a barium enema to make sure everything was fine.

But, dear tell the Doctor you are nervous, and he will help you feel just

fine. There is no pain afterward either.

We will be with you all the way. I know the fear of wondering what is wrong,

but usually that fear is quickly relieved with nothing more than hemorrhoids

Love you dear,

Imogene

Courage,

I will be sending up good wishes on June 3 and holding your hand as you travel

to get your test. You will have all of us with you on your ride in the elevator

too.

OT - Endoscopy

Hi All,

I hate to take up space here but on Tues, June 3rd at about 11:15, I am going in

for an endoscopy and in a bit of a state about it.

Many of you know that I have problems with anxiey and just having to go up 16

floors in the elevator has got me going, never mind the actual procedure. I

know that our LO's deserve all of our attention but if you could spare some

positive thoughts/prayers (for courage and a clean bill of health) my way I'd

sure appreicate.

Bless your heart Imogene, but I had to laugh when I read your response because

I'm having an endoscopy which is done through the mouth - the top end :)

I've had a colonoscopy too and awake for that one. Boy these doctors and their

tubes.

Thanks so much for the support though Imogene.

Thank you Norma, Sandie, Sherry, Ron, Donna, Deb, Adrienne and Dena.

Considering all that our LO's go through I just hate being such a chicken but I

know that I will feel stronger bringing all of you with me. My daughter and

darling will be there too which also helps.

Thanks again all.

Courage,

I wish you good news on June 3rd. And don't you even think about the

elevator. I work on the 16th floor and take it up and down every single

weekday. When you get in the elevator, start reading something. Maybe

this can help?

Count on me too Courage. I've never had the test done but my heart will be back

in

Toronto with you on June 3. I won't even have to get up early to accompany you!

I'll be thinking about you too, Courage. & nbsp; Prayers for an easy experience

with the endoscopy (and getting there!) and a clean bill of health afterward.
