I don't mean to jump into this conversation, but I have tried

Hi Becky;

If your condition is keeping you from working, it's time to apply for

disability. That's what it's there for. It would sure help your financial

situation. Why not check out www.ssa.gov and see what you can do? I had to fight

for several years to get it on my own without a lawyer and now have it. I

suggest getting a lawyer. It reduces the wear and tear of doing it alone.

As far as volunteering goes, I know it's a noble thing, but I want to be paid

for my time. I know that sounds terrible to some, but I'm highly trained and my

dream is money under the table. So far, no go, but I can still hope. I'm in

pretty bad shape and keep the house going for my husband. That takes up most of

my day. I guess I do volunteer work at home...haha. Joan
