Guest guest
I just thought of something. One of my friends used to joke that when he had kids, he'd teach them words for things all mixed up, like a " dog " is a " cat " and it was a wierd thought, but isn't that sort of what BPD moms do? They teach us some really wrong stuff and we have no choice to believe it. At some point, we say to a friend, You mean your family's Christmas does not include crying raging and threatening to cut people out of the will??? Gee, I thought that was what Christmas was about. All of my Christmases included some sort of dramatics, usually Mada shutting herself in the bedroom and pouting most of the day. We just can't help it what we've experienced. We were taught it was normal so we'd keep our mouth shut. But we are awesome because we are trying to recover and be nice to other people, so we don't add to the cycle. And it feels so good to know that WE aren't the ones with the problem an there is hope!!! IT is okay to BE HAPPY!! Hooray for me. And for you.
