Democrats are amazing. When Clinton was a legitimate draft dodger (a

man that had said he " loathes the military, " then sought to become their

commander-in-chief), that did not matter. But when a 2,000 pound idiot

movie producer calls Bush a deserter, now he's a deserter. To hell with

reality; call people whatever is the handiest insult at the moment,

facts or no facts.

I would admit that Clinton did whatever he could to avoid

the draft, as I made out that my scoliosis was a lot worse

than it was because I actually had orders to Vietnam, and

Bush joined the National Guard to avoid going there, and

then didn't show up for weekend training sessions for quite

awhile, being effectively AWOL. (Away Without Official Leave).

I know the producer you mean, though I can't think of his

name right now. I like him, and Al en too. What does

his weight have to do with anything?

Then I would hope that you would refrain from using such charges against

Bush. It is hypocritical for people to forgive Clinton for something,

then jump on Bush for something similar-- especially when the something

similar is an unproven accusation from someone that has already shown

himself to take huge liberties with the facts in order to promote his

awful agenda. " Bowling for Columbine " was one of the biggest crocks

ever known.

Ugh... the horror. I would sooner elect W. Bush king of the

world for life than have either of those two be an elected dog-catcher

of a town on another continent. ;)

It serves the same purpose that it did when people like en (not

sure if he personally did... please note the use of the word " like "

here) used similar language against Rush Limbaugh. Not only that, but

it did work to let you know who I was referring to ( , I

think his name is) without using his name.

Ummm, confused much? It wasn't me who called Bush a

deserter, but Jerry. What I wrote about Clinton, me,

and Bush was the truth in all cases. Who the Hell

wanted to go to Vietnam anyway?

1. I'm not a hypocrite, because I didn't jump on Bush

for deserting. I understand, although I resent his use

of his father's and grandfather's " pull " to get him into

the National Guard, where he'd be safe.

2. didn't originate that charge, it's a

matter of public record. What agenda?

I liked that movie, and " and me " too. The guy's a

genius.

Now, let's not get all emotional... 8<{)

Oh yeah, en's book, " Rush Limbaugh is a Big, Fat Idiot " .

I guess that Rush couldn't sue him for libel because the truth

is it's own defense. He is big, and fat, and an idiot for getting

hooked on Oxycontin and other pain pills. And then there's his

personality... It'd be fun sorting it all out in court.

No. Not at all.

Correct. That is why I said hopefully YOU will not call Bush a

deserter. I can't say that about Jerry, because he just did :)

> What I wrote about Clinton, me, and Bush was the truth in all

There never should have been a draft for that. If it was a just war,

there would have been enough volunteer forces to do the job. And if

there were not enough volunteers, the government should consider that a

referendum on the war-- and they should have stayed out of there.

You resent him using all he can to stay out of it... but isn't that what

you did? I'd use everything I could to get out of it too... but then, I

would not use that to try to disparage him 30 years later when he was

running for public office, either.

> 2. didn't originate that charge, it's a matter of

What agenda? Sheesh... for one thing, Bush is not a deserter, so to

call him that is hyperbolic. I called him fat (which he is)... to which

you and Jane objected. I exaggerated, by saying that he weighed 2,000

pounds, but the point was that I called him fat. He called Bush a

deserter, which is different-- because Bush is not. It is not a matter

of public record, because it is false. His comments (that got him

BOOed) at the Academy Awards last year were in that vein too. He has an

anti-Bush agenda.

It's propoganda disguised as a movie.

And I called fat-- and he is. Rush Limbaugh is not fat anymore,

and whether you agree with him or not, he is no idiot.

> He is big, and fat,

That is not true.

> and an idiot for getting hooked on

> Oxycontin and other pain pills.

If that is your definition of idiocy, getting hooked on something, then

you have just called a number of people here idiots. Limbaugh did not

go out and try to get high, nor did he try to use alcohol or other drugs

to drown his sorrows. He had a real back problem, and he was given pain

medications that he had a legitimate, non-recreational reason to use.

And he got hooked on them. It happens. And once addicted, he behaved

like an addict... he broke laws to get his drug of choice. That's one

reason that maybe we should treat drug problems as health issues, not

criminal issues (contrary to what Limbaugh himself has said in the past).

> And then there's his personality...

His personality is not the same as his persona, if you read about what

people that know him have written. He is supposed to be nice, shy,

gentle, and very polite. Not only that, but his persona, on the

talk-radio, is much less disrespectful than that of people like

and en. The sheer hatred and ugliness of en and people like

him, when they found out that Rush had a personal problem with drugs,

was notable. Rush never reacted with so much glee when his ideological

opponents had personal problems. en and his ilk are much more mean

and vicious than Limbaugh ever was. No one could fairly accuse Rush of

making hateful speech... they have tried, but it fails on the facts.

He's wrong on a lot of things, as I see it, but he has never written

anything as hateful as en's books, nor has he said anything as

nasty as that which en said when Rush admitted his drug problem.

In other words, if you like en's personality, Rush should be no

problem for you. He is much more respectful than en.

Or that I can't type.
