Guest guest
Hi All! I took Jazmin to the Neurosurgeon last Tuesday . Jazmin does have a spinal leak. The neurosurgeon took the wait and see approach . She is not leaking out of her incision. He suggested that I take a ace bandage and wrap it up to compress the incision. Hoping that the fluid will reabsorb. Did any one ever hear of that? Also Jazmin stitches did not dissolve yet. How long does it take for dissovlable stitches to dissovle? Thank You for your help. mom to Jazmin age 4 (almost 5 )
Guest guest
Hi Jeniffer, Glad Jazmin got into see the doctor so quick and that everything will be okay. I do not know about the ace bandage, but as for the dissolvable stitches, it took several weeks for Sydney's to completely go away. On her post op check (2 weeks after surgery), the doctor cut off the top most part of the stitches so they wouldn't bother her under her clothing, but it took a few weeks after that for them to completely disappear. Probably will depend on her own body's recoup time. It sounds like she is doing well. -------------- Original message -------------- > > Hi All! > I took Jazmin to the Neurosurgeon last Tuesday . Guest guest
My son is pre-op so I have no advice, but I just want to say that I hope Jazmin recovers quickly w/o any further troubles. Stacey & Sam
