Guest guest
Gee, Chairman! Haven't seen you on the list in a long time. Hope all is okay with you. New book from N.B.p. Greetings, Saw this on another list and thought it might be useful. Atkins Carb Counter Date: Mon, 12 Jan 2004 22:56:34 -1000 Dr. Atkins' New Carbohydrate Gram Counter by C. Atkins In braille or PortaBook, $5.00 This small and convenient book has a slightly misleading name: It's not just a carb counter! It also includes calories, protein, fiber, net carbs, and fat grams for each entry. With more than 1,200 listings, including hundreds of brand-name products, this handy, portable reference is organized into food categories such as " Poultry, " " Snacks, Cookies and Candies, " and " Beverages. " Both generic and brand name foods are included, as are newer products such as terra chips and soy crisps. The " Dining Out " section covers general restaurant meals (for example, when eating at a Chinese restaurant, choose beef with mushrooms instead of a lo mein dish), and specific fast food chains such as 's, Domino's, Mc's and Pizza Hut. You'll find all the information you need to make informed decisions about what - and how much - you eat. Dr. Atkins also includes pointers (such as how to measure portion sizes when you're not at home), and reassuring advice - " Don't torture yourself if you accidentally consume something that's been batter dipped or breaded. Remember it's only one meal! Guest guest
Hi Pat, You said: Gee, Chairman! Haven't seen you on the list in a long time. Hope all is okay with you. So far, just had a few pc problems (not entirely solved but battling on). I've been watching the list though, at present, have 1,415 messages to read, these go back to about august of 2003. I will no doubt be writing in reply to messages as I go through them. Cheers from Colin. -- I wish you a peaceful and prosperous New Year
