Guest guest
a, my wife (who has no neurological problems other than me!) had this too during her last pregnancy (our 3rd). The doctor said it would clear up afterwards and it did -after about 4 weeks if I remember right. I forget the exact cause, but it apparently is a not uncommon symptom. I will check with my wife tonight to see if she knows any more technical details as to what it was. --- a wrote: > Hey Everyone... > > I've not posted in a while, I read everything and > respond when I feel like I know what I'm talking > about...I have a question to put out there to anyone > who has an opinion... > > Several months ago, my thumb, and 1st 2 fingers on > my right hand started tingling and felt numb...I was > several months pregnant at the time, so I thought > that the baby was on a nerve or something...Well, I > had my baby 3 weeks ago, and I still have the > tingling and numbness...My cord is tethered at both > ends, but I've never had any problems...Does anyone > think this is probably related to the tethered cord? > > a Ramsey > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Check out the new Yahoo! Guest guest
Hopefully this isn't old news, since it's been awhile since the original post... It's my son who has the TCS, but when I was preggo w/full-term big twins. I had the numbness severely in both hands, from about 32 weeks on. I could stick a pin into my fingers and barely feel it. I'd say it took about 2-3 months before I got full sensation. On the other hand, before I read a similar reply, pregnancy is very hard on the musculo-skeletal system. I could imagine that there could have been a little bit of stress on the cord? There have been other TSC moms in the group, hopefully they care share more than me! Guest guest
For you, I would say that it is more likely caused by Tethered Cord, since you are Tethered at both ends. With the higher Tether probably causing this problem. However, I did want to mention, have you ever been checked for ACM? Just my Opinion. How are things going now?
