Guest guest Posted September 18, 2006 Report Share Posted September 18, 2006 I totally agree with Gwen's experience with Topamax and migraines. This drug gave me my life back. I have been taking it for over four years now. Prior to taking Topamax, I would have at least 2-3 horrendous migraines a month. I am talking the kind that send you to the ER and keep you from functioning at all. It was reaching the point that my job was in jeopardy. I was referred to a wonderful, progressive neurologist who put me on this, along with a muscle relaxer and an antidepressant. Within a month, I was a different person. I bless this woman. I had been to Dr after Dr and got no where. I wrote her a note and told her all this, thanking her for her patience, and for listening to me and for helping me. She has a huge practice, as she is also a neurological oncologist. She called me on the telephone and told me I was one of the few patients who had ever written her such an inspirational letter.
