Hi Pam.

glad you are using a meter that works for you. Now that you have that meter, use

it smile. You'd be surprised at how often your body is wrong at indicating to

you sugar lows or highs. I.E I never let my body tell me if I am low or high, it

is not a blood meter smile. I use the blood meter to let it tel me if I am low

or high. I realize you can feel physical symptoms at times but you'd really be

surprised at how often you are wrong if you get checked when you feel high or

low.

Hello, My name is Pm. I have been type II for a number of years and didn't

know it for awhile before I past out several times, etc. I tried several

oral medications but am now just taking Actos and Glucatrol when I need it.

I think I take care of this disease quite well. I can tell when my sugar

begins to drop low because I will became weak and shaky and know when it is

hi because I start itching and feel pretty bad too! I love my new meter

Accucheck with Voicemate. It agree with the listener who that was kind

enough to write me back and tell me she likes it too! I don't think I'd go

back. Lifescan served me well for many years but I got tired of the thing

saying not enough blood and this one is much easier to set, etc. Hope I

have helped some one! Have a very nice day and may God bless all of you and

bring you peace that passes all understanding and may his glorious light

shine upon you and may He give you peace! Pam

That is true, about not trusting your body to tell you symptoms. But

let me tell you what happened to me as a symptom. It was very strange. I

am a total with prostetic eyes-due to the diaabetes-but the other day I went

into a low of 48 and I was " seeing " flash lights! It happened twice in te

last week. (I was doing a whole lot more walking thatn normal, so he lows

came.) I fugure the optic nerve must have been irrateted and put out those

flashes. Gave me the creeps! seen aoub t

I also am a type two diabetic and was diagnosed about eight years ago. I

have been taking glucovance for about the last two years. I only take a

half of a pill. I have had many episodes of low bs and I went to the doctor

yesterday and told him that I have trouble taking glucovance. He said that

it is very potent and many people have trouble taking it. He changed my

medication to glucovauge. I took a pill this morning and have had no

problems with it. Jerry LItterell
