Good luck to him; I wish him the best of results. I had my second

surgery done on Oct. 14th 2004. I couldn't be any happier with the

results.

Hello all just wanted to give you an update . when we got to the hospital friday

the doctor at last minute cancelled surgery in order to get a new mri scan of

the brain and c spine, they are thinking that his symptoms are related to a

chiari malformation now instead of a tether, so we went today for a mri, and

will find out tomorrow if on tuesday we are going in for an unthethering or a

decompression of the chiari.

thank you Jill for your post. I will let you all know how things are going and

in what direction.

How totally stressful! Despite the setback, it's a good thing they rethought the

surgery until AFTER the correct diagnosis is made. I hope the MRI goes well and

that you can have it all settled soon.

Hugs,

Stacey & Sam (23 months old, pre-op)
