Dr. Bernstein frowns on this and cracks hard on old school thoughts of mixing insulins in 1 shot. He states to keep them seperate but t is ok to use the same needle for the shot but only after the first kind of insulin is fully injected/shot is at 0 units then draw the second type adn shoot it in you. Guest guest Posted May 30, 2004 Report Share Posted May 30, 2004 , Lantis is never to be mixed with another insulin. they used to mis N and R, but that is no longer recommended either as the N converts some of the R to N,, so you don't get the actual dose you want.
