Guest guest
This is just my opinion, but in regard to your question about the bladder muscles weakening with using the catheter, I don't think so. I have been cathing for, wow, almost 8 years now and I don't think my bladder muscles have changed. I empty my bladder, as said, every several hours depending on what I drink and then I'm good to go. I still feel the urge to go, don't know if everyone on the list does or not, but I still know when I have to go. My problem is if my bladder is full and I don't empty I dribble, so to speak, and wet that way, but otherwise all is good with the muscle. I would check with the doctor just to be sure, since I'm not really a doctor in real life! hehehehehehe Kelli
Guest guest
Hey Kelli, Thanks for the input! Like now, I can kind of strain and force most of the urine out ... and I guess while that is not the best way to do things .... it's nice to know I have that option should I be somewhere and need to do that to get most of the urine out, It'd be nice if the catheter could help but not have me be totally dependent on it.
