, can you explain this a bit more please? I have tried both but not

together. First Gabapentin which didn't help even on 2400mgs, and later

Amitryptilline - also didn't help. I didn't know you could take them

together.

I take several medications together, do you see an effective pain

management doctor who specializes in Neuropathic pain?

Monika,

I take 1000-1300mgs of Gabapentin, 25mgs of Amitriptyline - these two

meds help the tingling/burning/numbness sort of pain.

I take Diclofenacs up to 150mg for my ankle pain and Dihydrocodeine

up to 180mgs per day for breakthrough. (need at least 90mgs on a good

day)

This combo works to aleviate most of my pain and sometimes I have

periods of no pain!!!!! There are of course days when nothing touches

it. Are you seeing a PM doctor is is it just your GP at present?
