Did you take that picture with your digital camera?

That's especially nice, with the bird.

But if I had to look at the view, I don't think I'd get much work done.

I think your bears, btw are much neater than my elves. In every sense of

the word.

I don't seem (seam!) to put much care into them. I don't take my time.

One day I will, perhaps.

They have much character. One doesn't that much attention to feet in

bears these days as yours have. That's beary important.

No, there is a " cambot " (a camera on its own) up in one

of the buildings on campus. On the university web page

http://www.washington.edu if you click on the link for

facuty and staff (sorry I don't have the direct URL),

you will go to a page that has the " almost live " picture

from that cambot.

You have a *lot* more calls on your time and energy

than I do. (That's a massive understatement.) For me,

working on the bears is a nice form of " therapy. " I

used to have a reaction to difficulty (in bear-making)

where, if I got stuck and couldn't make something work,

I speeded up. Which was stupid, but I couldn't help

it. I would speed up and flail around until I was

exhausted, and then I would give up. After years of

bear-making now, I finally have learned to be able

to slow down when I need to. (Don't know why I am

telling you this; it's not responsive to anything

you wrote. Just came into my mind....)

What makes it a cambot as opposed to a CCTV camera? Does it roam around

campus on it's own? Who gave it the title of cambot. I'm interested

because I have been working with remote control closed circuit TV for

the past 25 years. I have never before heard the term cambot for it.

That term is not used in the industry that installs and services them

unless this thing has it's own intelligence or portability like a robot.

I have no idea (and may be remembering the term wrote).

To find out, you'd have to look at the web page and, if

the answer isn't there, contact the person referenced

for the camera view.
