Guest guest
I have been in EMS for approx 4 years now and had never heard of an orgranization for EMS until I joined this server. I strongly believe that EMS needs an organization as such but the word has to get out to everyone. It was never mentioned in school that there were national or local organizations for EMS (other than NR-which really isn't connected with what is being suggested here). I don't even know anyone who is part of an organization or even heard one talk about one. So the message here is that we need to get the information out the EMS public - other than this list server. Maybe there already is some info available but I for one have never seen or heard of anything. How can we let the EMS public know that their support is needed? I receive TEXAS EMS but don't always have the time to read cover to cover and mostly just do the CE's. I also read GEMS but again don't always get to read articles other than the CE's. So how can I find out the organization? Individual mailings? Notices to employers? Maybe someone can come up some good ideas on how to publicize this. 2cents worth!
