Guest guest
I know some of you have ideas here, so please share them I have a direct practice, and another doc in town who is with MDVIP will be on vacation for a few days and I will be covering for her – may see pts or do phone visits for urgent needs while she is out. And when I am out of town, she may see mine who are not sick enough for ER but can’t wait and I can’t manage them over the phone. How do patients pay their covering doc? My understanding is that MDVIP pts usually have insurance, but I am not contracted with anyone. Since I will be covering for her, could she submit w/ her info to their insurance and pay me the copay and insurance reimbursement? When she is covering for me, I was going to have my pts pay her the usual amount they pay me, except for my retainer pts I will have to figure something else out. Suggestions please! Thanks!
