Guest guest
No No No, this is mostly my fault. My writing comes out quite frank...and sometimes I think can be confused with flaming or argueing. I apologize for that and think the title of this thread is directed to me. Part of my problem is how I use this forum. A lot of people are here for support and a lot of us are here for information. Also a lot are here for both. I am here primarily for information on TCS to find exactly what's out there and to get the most precise information. I love it when people tell me that my info is off or missing the mark somewhere because that leads me to having more precise questions to ask doctors. I don't mean to step on anyones toes in the process it is certainly not my intention. Let me again state that I BY NO MEANS WANT ANYONE TO MAKE THE DECISIONS I MADE FOR SURGERY...OR TO MISCONSTRUE ANY INFO I POST AS MEDICAL ADVICE...OR TO HAVE THE INFO GUIDE YOU IN ANY WAY!!! I would only hope that the information can prepare you and me to ask the right questions when we see our surgeons, therapists, and doctors...it is their job to cover our medical care, but it is also our job to be informed patients. Kathy...this thread wasn't directed against you...or if it partly was I take absolutely no offense to what you said whatsoever. When it comes to me I would much rather have a discourse over information and facts in the common forum rather than my or other peoples info boxes cause it leads to more understanding. That again is up to the moderators and I respect their opinions. But, nothing you said to me was a personal attack at all. Additionally, since you were the one diagnosed with arach. your opinion on the matter is one, which I am highly interested in...since I just have TCS with the potential of getting arach. Still if it is a rule to have such discourses toned down in the general forum...please post to my email. PLEASE PLEASE KATHY...not your fault I apologize. > > Hi > > > > It's me...the sometimes absent co-owner, moderator. Guest guest
Hi I too invite debate over medical papers and anything that any of us have learned through our course of learning about our disease(s), but there's a way to do it without sounding like you're attacking someone and there's a way to do it where a person can feel attacked. NOTHING of that sort happened (the latter) that I know of. I felt that intervention was necessary because I thought that's where it was headed and as you said, the tone of your posts can sometimes sound very sterile (my word, not yours.) But, that said, I am very, very glad you wrote in and explained yourself and how you write and what your intentions were. That alone helps immensely. And, as I said, I've been remiss in my duties and have not been reading all posts coming through and read that thread in the middle and had no idea where it started and wanted to soften it before it headed to deep waters, so to speak. Again, really glad you wrote in and explained how you write, what you're looking for etc. to help clear the air and straighten out your intentions. Mine I believe are straight too now and we shall now live happily ever after ;-) BUT....:-) I don't believe I've ever said I had arachnoiditis. I've been diagnosed with it once, about three/four years ago, but then again, at one point or another, I've been diagnosed with everything that " can " go along with having a tethered spinal cord (or lipo in my case.) Case in point, even though I'm working, I'm still considered disabled by the Gods that give me disability. Their new diagnosis for me is (per the paper just received in the mail on Saturday): (Drum roll please), tethered spinal cord syndrome, post multiple untetherings, with Chiari malformation and neuropathic agents along with lipomatomous meningocele. How's that for a mouth full!? Ugh... Kathy (And please, don't let me interupt the conversation anymore.) Guest guest
I really appreciate the group that you have built, and I truly do apologize for coming of so blunt. Please to not feel guilty at all with your post...you are a great moderator, and I am happy to be part of this community. > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > It's me...the sometimes absent co-owner, moderator.
