Guest guest
, Peg came across a tape called the " Leaky Gut Syndrome " . It describes how the intestinal wall can lose the mucosal lining. This allows more food proteins than usual to get into the blood stream. According to this Dr., if too much protein leaks into the gut it can cause inflammation in the joints and causes arthritis pain. This would explain why UC sufferers usually get arthritis. It is pretty technical, he was talking to a group of Drs. But, it had some useful info about diet. Can anyone else add anything extra? Guest guest
, I forwarded a tape to Larry and Marsha (my tape recorder is broken) to make additional tapes to pass out. It is a doctor talking to doctors, so it's kind of technical but understandable, about his theory that a person have say UC or IBS has a " Leaky Gut " and that if they do, protein leaks out causes arthritis and some other things. He was referring to mostly rhumatoid arthritis but said it may play in osteoarthiris and other conditions. He gives a diet plan that is supposed to heal it and keep it under control. If you want a tape contact Larry or Marsha or maybe someone has one they will forward on to you.
