Guest guest Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Tammy, most of they symptoms you describe sound (to me anyway) like you have damage in your spine. The extent of the damage in my spine didn't show up until I had a myleogram done. The procedure doesn't come without risks, but it was the only way to find all the areas that were damaged. MRIs, xrays, and a catscan all show some, but the whole ball of wax was instantly revealed with the myelogram. I went from being a " try this PT routine " patient, to a " we have to treat you right away " patient. I loved your line about your hair hurting when you brush it. My roots hurt a lot. Sometimes, while washing or brushing my hair, I say to myself, " I won't cry, I won't cry. " A few years ago, I finally got up the nerve to ask my pain doc about the hair root pain and he matter of factly said that it stood to reason that my roots hurt, since I have damage to my central nervous system and nerves are all interconnected. About three years ago, we had a discussion on this group about hurting hair roots and a number of people chimed in. Even though, hair itself is dead, the root endings are quite sensitive. " My hair hurts " isn't as silly as it sounds. -- Lyndi Quote
