Guest guest Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hi all. I'm new to your group. I suffer with Fibromyalgia and chronic back pain. Of course, I am in some kind of moderate pain every day, and I can't be sure if that is from the FM, or something else. I am not receiving any kind of treatment for this, because when I've talked to ddifferent docs about it, they either refer me to PT (which doesn't really help), give me a brochure on " exercises " , or give me 800mg. Motrin to take for a couple weeks. They don't seem to get that it's a chronic condition, and that I'm not a junkie just out to get some meds. So I treat my symptoms the best I can, but often times I have no relief, and it wears me down. I'm sure many of you also suffer from some form of depression as the result of being in constant pain. So i guess what I hope to get out of this is to connect with people in a similar situation... to share stories, advice, or just listen. Specifically, I would be interested to find fellow sufferers in the 25-30 age range who have been dealing with this for 10 or more years, as I have. Thanks. Quote
