Guest guest
Hi , My Dr. has me taking the lantis in the morning with that shot. I usually run high during the dayand he thought taking it this way would help. Normally I have a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I was draining to much this morning and new milk was the last thing I needed in my stomach. I hope you people aren't planning on starving me on this new diet. I weigh 110 lbs and am 5 foot 4; not sure if that factors into anything or not. Lynda
Guest guest
lantus should be taken in the evenings at or around 8 PM and is used as a basal insulin. If you are on lantus, you should not be taking 70/30 with it at all. Get on humalog insulin to cover carbs. No, starvation is deadly for any human we have no plans of starving you smile. I weigh 160 pounds and am 5 10 and have no plans of losing more weight. You just limit your carbs to the point your pre meal test is 80 and your 2 hour post meal test is 120 or less. Some have to eat only 15 grams per meal, some 30, some 45, and some can handle 60. Everyone's body is different. BTW you cannot start adjusting carbs at all while on 70/30. you have to be on lantus and humalog to begin adjusting carbs. I'm more than willing to help you out so have your doc prescribe you humalog and then take you off the 70/30. How much 70/30 are you taking per dose adn how many times a day? Guest guest
yes, pat is correct here Lynda but you cannot use any of this advice we are giving you on 70/30 insulin so don't try it. you have to be on lantus and humalog quick acting insulin to begin using carb counting.
