Guest guest
Harry she is on 70/30 insulin and has not been trained on carb counting yet but I think Lynda will be our next superstar on list here. She is quite bright and asking lots of questions and is eager to learn. I got a good feeling about her smile. Guest guest
, It sounds like you had the typical symptoms for a low blood sugar. But if your blood sugar had been 15, you would have been passed out. Usually diabetics pass out and convulse if the blood sugar gets in the low 20's. You might want to get your machine checked. strange question Hi All, I had a weird experience today and was wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen to them. We were eating lunch egg salad sandwiches, potatoe chips, and lemon aide. After lunch I started feeling light headed, shaky, and head rushed. I checked my sugar and it said it was 15 which don't seem right to me but then again the way my sugars read. My question is could my machine be acting up or do I trust the reading? I even rechecked to make sure and we got the same reading. I've got an appointment for Monday to see my Dr. and hopefully we can get this stuff figured out. I didn't eat anything extra since I had 2 slices of bread with my sandwich. At breakfast I was 72 and had a yogurt granola bar and juice. Guest guest
Lynda, Listen to . He is the man! He is the one who taught me how to establish and maintain tight glucose level control, which is what I advocate, too. Get that Humalog prescription and get that Lantus prescription. With these two insulins and the ability to carb count, you, too, can establish and maintain tight, and I really do mean tight, glucose level control. Pitch that 70/30 stuff as soon as you can! Really, get with the program, and the quicker you do, the quicker you will be in control.
Guest guest
that is one nice thing about the lifescan profile that I use with speech. it speaks not enough blood if there isn't enough on it. that is the one benefit above the accucheck voicemate.
