Guest guest Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 First I write also. I am supposed to be working on a book, but I would rather do short topics and things like daily devotions. I write Sunday School material and other stuff. What do you write about? I agree that writing is not someting I ever thought of doing, but God knew and it really helps feel my days. It just blows me away that someone would want to read what I write! The question? If you are asking yourself how much longer are you going to do this than I say you have probably already reached your limit. The problem as I see it is that you love him and would really miss him. He probably is good for you also. When my grandkids were small (I am getting more this fall!) I used to put them in a stroller or walker and push them around the house. With your feet you may not be able to do that. I would think that someone who is a young teen would be thrilled to come in and help for a small amount of money. How do you find this teen? If you go to church aks around if not, I would call the local junior high and ask them for a referral. Most schools wil help. The members of things like ROTC have to do community hours and this could be counted. Girl Scouts and boy scouts have to earn merit badges and this also falls under what they need to do. I know in the past I have used ROTC people and they cannot take pay they just have to have you sign a paper saying the hours they worked. they need the community service. When we think of community servcie we usually think of criminals but these young people are not. I say the junior high because most senior high people are working now days. Another option is to use the seniors in your area. There are tons of seniors who really need the extra income and would come in and help you say from after nap time to a few mintues before the parents come. In my experience most seniors are very good and do not need alot. Of course you must be able to get along with them as well. I will keep thinking. There has to be a way to do this so that you do not have to give up the lite of your life. At his age he isprobably getting to be to heavy for oyu to carry. Let's think some more and I am sure others will hvae an idea for you. Gwen My question and advice-request topic is this - I babysit now for our only grandson - a now six month old boy who is the light of my days. His mom brings him daily and I have him from 7:30 til 6:00 pm. Quote
