Guest guest Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I'm still having computer proboems...for some reason my posts don't get thru to Yahoo unless I post from the website. Yesterday I went to the pain clinic, and the doc had the results of my MRI. It turns out that all that horrendous pain I've been in since Christmas is due to a ruptured disk in my lumber spine. I really feel angry about the first dictor I saw in the ER...he's the one who didn't do any kind of exams or anything, and was rude to me & my husband (he came into the room & yelled at both of us). If he'd done his job properly that night, the ruptured disk would have been discovered right away, and I wouldn't have had to spend the last month in pain. Well, I've filed a complaint against him, and I made sure they put down that I have a ruptured disk & he did nothing that would have diagnosed it. My pain doctor could tell, before I had the MRI, that there was a problem with a disk, just by a physical exam. The MRI just showed it up, the location & severity of it. So now I have to look forward to a treatment called Lumbar Epidural Injections. The doc thinks I may need 3 or 4 to get the disk back in place and relieve the pain. I'm not looking forward to it, but I guess it's better than surgury! My father had a disk problem in his lumbar spine about 16 years ago, & he spent months in traction before they finally operated, removed the disks, & bolted his vertebrae together. I'm glad that I don't have to go thru something like that! cyn Quote
