Guest guest
Who ever is saying you only need to test once per day, does not know what they are talking about, when it comes to glucose level control. Tell them I said so. As a general rule the morning glucose level is higher, because of the dawn effect. This is a common effect which affects most diabetics. I hope some one here can answer your query about glucose meters, since I do not use one of the talking monitors. adjusting > I have been taking this glucovance twice a day for a week now. Guest guest
Right now we are in the gathering data phase. Nobody said test once a day at the same time, I just thought to eliminate variables in comparing daily results, being a good scientist; that was the way to do it. Guest guest
most diabetics who run an a1c of 5 or so test at least 6 times a day. you'll never get tight control over sugars testing 1 time a day. how could you? For example... your sugar is 123 in the morning. What is it for lunch? dinner? before bed? in between meals? you could be 300, 190, 188, 99, and then in the morning be 119 and think you are doing fine when all along, you are running terrible sugars and having terrible control. So you alternate the next day adn check once at lunch and are 80. What were you for breakfast? before dinner? before bed? in between meals? you could have been 290, 188, 80, 130, etc. Regards, adjusting > I have been taking this glucovance twice a day for a week now.
