Guest guest Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Hi Rick, I saw my do and had called the insurance company to check if I was still on. I was so I got the OxyContin generic. I asked my doc about methadone bit he did not think that would help as much as the OxyContin. I'm going to do a check on the prices for the Oxycontin and Oxycodone as well as the methadone. I'm signed up for the Medicare Rx drug program through a insurance company. Once I pay down the $600.00 deductible, I'll be in good shape. I've had Dilaudid in the hospital. I don't remember how effective it was. My doctor is very supportive but conservative about raising the doses of the Oxyontin. The 3 20mg just aren't cutting it anymore. I've been on this dose for 16 months. Doc has given me a Rx for Lortab for breakthrough pain. He gives me 30 but when the pain is bad as it is, one lortab a day helps a little for a few hours. I guess I should be grateful he gives me the breakthrough though. Thanks for your suggestion Rick. That's good you're having less pain from the surgery and gettig some sensation back. I wish you well on your recovery. Regards and best wishes for a painfree day as possible. Rick wrote: RX for Methadone . It i very aforadable i pay $12 or sp for 90. I also have been on Dilaudid ( Hydromorphone)$15 for 60. Quote
