Hi Rick

I strongly recommend the Yahoo group called

Disinissues. The moderator works for SSDI and knows

all the in's and out's of the system.

She also knows a great deal about workmen's comp and

other disability groups.

Kaylene, I joined that group hoping they would have info on VA disability as

well, but after looking around in their files section, it doesn't look like

it. I'm supposed to wait a couple of days before posting, so I can't ask

onlist, yet. They seem to have real strict rules, too, so I don't want to

*speak out of turn*.

Do you know if there is any kind of a group that deals with VA disability as

well?

Mark already has 40% disability through the VA and he filed to have it

upgraded. We're really hoping he'll get 100% as it is getting harder and

harder for him to work full time. He doesn't know how much longer he'll be

able to do his current job and we NEED the income, so we're in a real bad

situation.

We already cut way down on our lifestyle, bought a house where our payments

are only $445.00/month, I don't think we can get anything more reasonable

that is financable.

We finally made an appointment at a pain clinic in Missoula that combines

traditional medicine with alternative therapies. Unfortunately neither one

of the 2 health insurances that Mark has will pay for acupuncture, neither

does the VA. I hope we'll be able to try acupuncture, anyway. Maybe they

will accept payments......

Hi Marita

The Dissinissues group is very strictly moderated, and

only about information. They do have a seperate group

for those who also need to chit chat for encouragement

etc.

Go ahead and post to the group, and see what the

moderator has to say. In the meantime, check out the

group and information below.

You can also contact either of our federal senators,

for assistance with your claim. If you need their

phone numbers I can post them again.
