looking through one of my med school/residency reference books about lab testing for their description of SHBGwhile flipping pages came across their section on HbA1C and what I saw

Normal ValuesNormal (nondiabetic) - 5.5%-8.5%Diabetes, Good Control - 7.5%-11.4%         Moderate Control - 11.5%-15%                Poor Control - >15%

it was the 5th edition published in 1996 with the 1st edition in 1980all i can saw is wow

You know, the good old days of medicine!  Actually, I remember following total cholesterol levels when treating hypothyroidism. Honest to god, that was in the early 80's. You know, when we practiced with the dinosaurs, pre-cimetadine, ACE's and fluoxetine!
