Tess,

That's such great news! I can't imagine life without my " baby " - our pure

white Maltipoo, who weighs all of 8 lbs. and is just a clown. He can amuse

himself and play with his toys for up to 3 hours at a time. Yet if I feel bad

and have to lay down, he'll come up on the bed and lay down next to me.

What kind of dog do you think you'll get?

Thanks Tawny! And giess what??? After years of not having a pet (except

my sweet parakeet who is now flying in Heaven), I can have a pet at our

new place!!! No humongous $600. pet fee!!

After we get settled a bit, I'm going to find the right little buddy who

needs a home and lots of company! That is so wonderful.

My last doggy was my sweet " Maxy the Wonder Dog " - a big half black lab,

half Irish Setter who was Momma's baby boy from the get-go! It's been

14 years since he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. My Mom & Dad have a

darling little daschound who has been my " honorary " puppy!

Thanks for being a sweetie.

Love & hugs...

Tess

Tess- What great and exciting news. Take care of yourself while moving - it can

be pretty stressful - even when it is good stress. Might I suggest Petfinder.com

as a way of finding a new buddy. My sister just adopted/rescued a beautiful

little calic persian who was days aways from death row - using that site. It is

easy to search and you know those babies need you. Enjoy all your new

adventures. You really deserve it.

Hugs,

Thank you, dear Dix. My furry soul-mate was my " Maxy the Wonder Dog. "

He was half black lab and half Irish setter. When we lived way out in

the country when my children were little he was my best buddy.

Sometimes I'd go out on the deck at night, the big ol' sky and all the

trees out before us. Maxy would jump up and hold himself up with one

paw on the deck railing, one paw on me, and his big ol' nose nestled in

the nape of my neck.

You never know, maybe there's another place in my heart for a furry

soul-mate!

Much love...

Tess,

Thank you for sharing that story. Maxy sounds like a wonderful dog. I'm

glad you had him and all those wonderful memories.
